Inspirational Quotes by Vincent Price (American Actor)

Vincent Leonard Price (1911–93) was an American film actor. He is notable for his performances in a series of horror films based on stories by Edgar Allan Poe, including The Pit and the Pendulum (1961.)

Born in St Louis, Missouri, Price established a career on the English stage and Broadway before entering film in Service De Luxe (1938.) Although given primarily minor roles, in the 1940s, he performed in the major films Laura (1944) and Dragonwyck (1946.)

Price appeared in low-budget horror movies in the 1950s. Director Roger Corman cast Price as Roderick Usher in Edgar Allan Poe’s tale The Fall of the House of Usher (1960.) Price’s star rose rapidly, and he went on to significant success in six more collaborations with Corman on Poe’s horror tales, for which he is now best remembered. Price’s final film appearances were in The Whales of August (1987) and Edward Scissorhands (1990.)

Price has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for motion pictures and one for television. The Vincent Price Art Museum at East Los Angeles College is named in his honor.
