Inspirational Quotes by Sonya Hartnett (Australian Novelist)

Sonya Louise Hartnett (b.1968,) pseudonyms S. L. Hartnett and Cameron S. Redfern, is an Australian author of fiction for adults, young adults, and children. Her work has won numerous Australian and international literary prizes and has been published around the world.

Born in the Box Hill suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Hartnett wrote her first novel Trouble All the Way (1984) at age thirteen and published it at fifteen. Her novels have been published traditionally as young adult fiction, but her writing often crosses the divide and is also enjoyed by adults.

Hartnett’s novels include Wilful Blue (1994,) Sleeping Dogs (1995,) Black Foxes (1996,) Thursday’s Child (2002,) What the Birds See (2003,) The Ghost’s Child (2008,) Butterfly (2009,) The Midnight Zoo (2010,) The Children of the King (2012,) and Golden Boys (2014.)
