Sister Nivedita (1867–1911,) born Margaret Elizabeth Noble, was an Irish-born supporter of Indian nationalism.

Swami Vivekananda initiated Noble into the Ramakrishna order in 1898. In addition to supporting the political struggle for independence, Sister Nivedita was a significant influence behind Ramakrishna Mission and led its many educational, cultural, and charitable initiatives. Her most notable books include The Web of Indian Life (1904,) The Master as I Saw Him (1910,) Myths of the Hindus & Buddhists (1913,) and the compilation Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda (1907.)
