Peregrine Worsthorne (1923–2020,) fully Sir Peregrine Gerard Worsthorne, was a British journalist, writer, and broadcaster. He is an editor of the Sunday Telegraph. A conservative-leaning political journalist often for the Telegraph newspaper titles, he penned columns and leaders for many years.

Born in Chelsea, London, Worsthorne got a history scholarship to attend Peterhouse, Cambridge, a small college identified with reactionary conservatism. He was summoned for World War II service but hurt his shoulder in training. During his recovery, he studied at Magdalen College-Oxford and returned to war service. After the war, he completed his degree at Peterhouse. He worked as a journalist for Glasgow Herald, The Times, and The Daily Telegraph.

Worsthorne’s books include The Socialist Myth (1972,) Tricks of Memory (1993)—and In Defence of Aristocracy (2004.)
