Maria Sara Bartiromo (b.1967) is an American television journalist and magazine columnist.
Born in New York City, Bartiromo graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in journalism and economics. She spent 5 years as a producer and an assignment editor at CNN Business News before joining CNBC in 1993.
In the late 1990s, Bartiromo earned the moniker “Money Honey” owing to her attractive looks and for being the first woman to report live from the disorderly floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She gained renown for her Market Watch and Squawk Box segments, and as the host of the Business Center, Market Wrap, and Closing Bell programs.
In 2013, Bartiromo left CNBC to join the Fox Business Network, where she hosts the Mornings with Maria program and serves as the Global Markets editor. Bartiromo is the author of three books, including The 10 Laws of Enduring Success (2010.)
