Claude M. Bristol (1891–1951) was an American journalist, lawyer, lecturer, investment banker, and foreign correspondent. Bristol served as a soldier in World War I in France and Germany. After the war, he worked on the army newspaper, Stars and Stripes, until 1919. He wrote two long-time bestsellers on “mind stuff,” TNT: The Power Within (1932) and Magic of Believing (1948.) These works evolved from his journalistic research on a variety of spiritual and religious movements.
