Gerhard Kocher (b.1939) is a Swiss publicist, health economist, and aphorist.

Born in Bern, Kocher studied economics and political science at the University of Bern and Freie Universitat in Berlin. From 1968–74, he was secretary of the Swiss Center for Trade Promotion (now called Switzerland Global Enterprise.)

Since 1974, Kocher has worked as an independent consultant and publicist, mostly in the field of health care and future research. In 2007, Kocher received the Swiss Health Economics Prize of the Swiss Working Community for Health Economics.
