Inspirational Quotes by Ira Glass (American Radio Personality)

Ira Glass (b.1959) is an American television and radio personality. He is the host of the radio and television series This American Life (s.1995.) He is also known for contributing to other NPR programs, including Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Talk of the Nation.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Glass got into radio when he had just finished his first college year. He started as a tape cutter and a desk assistant, graduated from Brown University, and continued working for public radio as a newscast writer, editor, producer of All Things Considered, reporter, and substitute host.

Glass moved to Chicago in 1989, and he launched This American Life in 1995. His programs usually feature an in-depth look at ordinary people’s lives; sometimes, the stories are sad, occasionally ironic, and sometimes funny. In 2006, Glass moved This American Life to New York City to work on a television adaptation of the program. This American Life has won Peabody Awards in 2007, 2009, 2013, 2014, and 2016 and a Pulitzer Prize in 2020.

Besides his radio and television work, Glass edited an anthology called The New Kings of Nonfiction (2007.) He also co-wrote and produced the film Sleepwalk with Me (2012) and produced Don’t Think Twice (2016.)
