Ferenc Sánta (1927–2008) was a Hungarian novelist and film screenwriter.

Born in Brașov, he produced the novels Sokan voltunk (1954; ‘ We Were Many ‘) Húsz óra (1963; Twenty Hours; film, 1965,) Az ötödik pecsét (1963; The Fifth Seal; film, 1976,) Halálnak halála (1994; ‘Death of Death.’) He wrote the script for the movie Éjszaka (1989.)

Sánta was awarded the József Attila Prize in 1956 and 1964, and the prestigious Kossuth Prize in 1973.
