Inspirational Quotes by Sheryl Sandberg (American Executive, Author)

Sheryl Kara Sandberg (b.1969) is an American technology executive. She is the chief operating officer (COO) of the social networking company Facebook (s.2008.) Since her Lean In (2013) publication, Sandberg became celebrated as an aspirational champion among mainstream, self-empowerment feminists.

Born in Washington, D.C. to a Jewish family, Sandberg studied economics at Harvard. Sandberg joined economist Lawrence Summers, her Harvard thesis advisor, as an assistant 1991–93 when he became chief economist at the World Bank. Sandberg returned to Harvard to get an MBA, worked at the management-consulting firm McKinsey & Company 1995–96.

Sandberg then worked as an assistant to Summers at the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., 1996–2001, rising to become his chief of staff. She worked as the vice president of global online sales and operations at Google 2001–08 before joining Facebook.

Sandberg became an outspoken advocate for women to be more aggressive in seeking success in the business world. Her books include zb[Option B|Sheryl Sandberg[Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy (2017; with American psychologist Adam Grant.)
