Inspirational Quotes by Clementine Churchill (British Humanitarian)

Clementine Churchill (1885–1977,) fully Clementine Ogilvy Spencer Churchill, Baroness Spencer-Churchill, GBE, was the wife of Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a life peer in her own right.

Born in London, Clementine met Winston in 1904, and their marriage 1908–65 bore five children. During World War I, Clementine organized canteens for munitions workers. During World War II, she served as Chairman of the Red Cross Aid to Russia Fund, President of the Young Women’s Christian Association War Time Appeal, and Chairman of Maternity Hospital for the Wives of Officers, Fulmer Chase, South Bucks.

Throughout her life, Churchill was awarded many titles. Following the death of her husband in 1965, she was given a life peerage as Baroness Spencer-Churchill of Chartwell in the County of Kent.
