Inspirational Quotes by Paul Simon (American Musician)

Paul Frederic Simon (b.1942) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. One of America’s finest pop lyricists, he is celebrated as bringing a highbrow sensibility to rock music.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Simon was one-half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel and pursued a solo career under various pseudonyms before The Sound of Silence (1965) brought the pair its first significant success. They had the most successful album of the early 1970s with Bridge Over Troubled Water (1970.)

Simon’s songs were used in the film The Graduate (1968) soundtrack, one of the first major films to incorporate rock music in this way. The duo split up in 1970, and Simon went on to pursue a successful solo career, recording albums such as There Goes Rhymin’ Simon (1973) and Graceland (1986,) The Rhythm of the Saints (1990,) and Surprise (2006.)
