Inspirational Quotes by Dorothy Bryant (American Novelist)

Dorothy Bryant (1930–2017) was an American teacher, playwright, and novelist. Bryant was known for her mystical, feminist, and fantasy novels and plays that traverse the space between the real world and her character’s inner psyche or soul.

Born to Italian immigrants in the Mission District of San Francisco, Bryant attended San Francisco State University and taught at a high school and Contra Costa College.

Bryant’s first book, Ella Price’s Journal (1972,) was a novel written in journal form. She self-published The Comforter: A Mystical Fantasy (1972.) Her follow-up, “The Comforter,” a Jungian fantasy that was later republished as the popular The Kin of Ata are Waiting for You (1976.) He plays include Dear Master (1991,) Posting for Gaugain (1997,) and Eros in Love (2006.)
