Inspirational Quotes by Ken Keyes Jr. (American Self-Help Author)

Ken Keyes Jr. (1921–95) was an American personal growth author, lecturer, and peace advocate. An author of 15 popular self-help books, he created the Living Love method, a self-help system.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Keyes attended Duke University and the University of Miami. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After an assignment in real estate in Miami, Keyes became interested in personal growth in the 1970s.

Keyes founded the Living Love Center in Berkeley, California, in 1973, Cornucopia Institute in 1977, and the Ken Keyes College in 1985. He also established the Caring Rapid Healing Center in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Keyes wrote fifteen volumes on personal growth and social consciousness subjects. His well-known works are How to Live Longer-Stronger-Slimmer (1966,) Taming Your Mind (1970; initially How to Develop Your Thinking Ability,) Handbook to Higher Consciousness (1972,) The Hundredth Monkey (1982,) How to Enjoy Your Life in Spite of It All (1984,) and Your Road Map to Lifelong Happiness (1995.)
