Reginald Wright Kauffman (1877–1959) was an American writer of 44 novels and author the scripts for nine films based on his novels and stories. His most noted works are The Girl That Goes Wrong (1911) and The House of Bondage (1910 novel, 1914 film.)
Born in Columbia, Pennsylvania, Kauffman wrote his first novel, Jarvis of Harvard (1897,) while studying at Harvard University. He was then an accredited correspondent with the United States Navy. Over a long writing career, he also wrote for several newspapers and periodicals and served as the editor of the Bangor Maine Daily News.
