Inspirational Quotes by Lucille Ball (American Actor)

Lucille Désirée Ball (1911–89) was an American comedienne known mainly for the popular television series I Love Lucy (1951–57.) She was also an actress, model, film studio executive, and producer. Her prominent movies include Stage Door (1937,) Sorrowful Jones (1949,) and Yours, Mine, and Ours (1968.)

Ball’s career began at age 18 as a model. She subsequently performed on Broadway and appeared in numerous minor film roles. She was nicknamed the “Queen of B-Movies” in the 1940s before she became an American TV icon in her hit sitcom series I Love Lucy. More TV comedy hits followed: The Lucy Show (1962–68,) Here’s Lucy (1968–74,) and Life with Lucy (1986.)

Ball was also the head of the studio that made I Love Lucy. In 1962, she became the first woman to run a major television studio. Her Desilu Productions produced many other popular television series, including Mission: Impossible (1966–67) and Star Trek: The Original Series (1966–69.)
