Inspirational Quotes by Mohnish Pabrai (Indian-American Investor, Philanthropist)

Mohnish Pabrai (b.1964) is an Indian-American investor, businessman, and philanthropist. As managing partner of Pabrai Investment Funds based in Irvine, California, Pabrai is a prominent admirer of the value investing philosophy of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, the principals of Berkshire Hathaway.

Born in Mumbai, Pabrai worked as an engineer with telecommunications equipment company Tellabs 1986–91 before setting up his own computer consulting and systems-integration business called TransTech. He sold his company in 1999–2000 and started Pabrai Investment Funds, a family of hedge funds modeled after Buffett Partnerships, Buffett’s early investing vehicle.

Pabrai’s written works include Mosaic: Perspectives on Investing (2004) and The Dhandho Investor: The Low-Risk Value Method to High Returns (2007.)

Pabrai shot to fame by winning, with South African-Swiss investor Guy Spier, a $650,100 charity lunch with Buffett in 2007.

In 2005, Pabrai and his wife started the Dakshana Foundation with the intent of bequeathing 2% of their net wealth annually to educating needy high school students in India to compete to enter India’s elite technological colleges.
