Anna Chan Chennault (1925–2018,) born Chan Sheng Mai, also Chen Xiangmei, was a Chinese-American journalist and war correspondent. She was an advisor for Richard Nixon’s presidential campaign and a prominent Republican member of the China Lobby.

Born in Beijing, Anna studied journalism at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. She became a reporter for China’s Central News Agency. She married Lieutenant General Claire Chennault, a World War II aviation hero. Following her husband’s death in 1958, Chennault moved to Washington D.C. and became a lobbyist supporting Taiwan and opposing Communist China.

In her role as an advisor for Nixon’s presidential campaign, she is thought to have delayed the Vietnam War peace negotiations to promote his chances in the presidential elections.
