Inspirational Quotes by Stirling Moss (English Motor-Racing Driver)

Stirling Moss (1929–2020,) in full Sir Stirling Craufurd Moss, was a British Formula One Grand Prix racing driver. He won various Grands Prix and other competitions in the 1950s. However, the world championship eluded him—he is regarded as one of the most significant drivers to have never won the Formula One world trophy.

Born in London, Moss won many major races in the 1950s, including the British Grand Prix (1955, 1957,) the Mille Miglia, and the Targa Florio. He won 16 races from 66 starts 1951–61. Moss retired in 1962 after a crash at Goodwood. He then became a journalist and broadcaster and returned to saloon car racing in 1980.
