Thomas Rath (b.1975) is an American consultant on employee engagement, strengths, well-being, and an author. He is best known for his studies on strengths-based leadership and wellbeing and synthesizing research findings in a series of bestselling books.
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Rath obtained a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Rath is a consultant and scientist at Gallup, Inc., the renowned management consulting and polling organization.
Rath’s books have sold more than 5 million copies and have been translated into sixteen languages. His notable works are How Full Is Your Bucket? Positive Strategies for Work and Life (2004,) Vital Friends: The People You Can’t Afford to Live Without (2006,) Strengths Based Leadership: Great Leaders, Teams, and Why People Follow (2009,) Wellbeing: The Five Essential Elements (2010,) and Eat Move Sleep: How Small Choices Lead to Big Changes (2013.)
