Buck Rinehart (1946–2015,) fully Dana Gillman Rinehart, was an American lawyer. He served as the 50th mayor of Columbus, Ohio, 1984–92. Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Rinehart attended Ohio State University-Columbus, earning a B.A. in Political Science. He later attended Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University, graduating cum laude. Rinehart began his career as treasurer of Franklin County, Ohio, 1976–84. After leaving office as the mayor, Rinehart practiced law on behalf of powerful business interests.
