Marc Forné i Molné (b.1946) is an Andorran politician and lawyer, best known for serving as Prime Minister 1994–2005. His tenure focused on economic liberalization, tax policy, and international relations.
Born in Andorra la Vella, Forné studied law at the University of Barcelona, graduating in 1974. He initially worked as a criminal lawyer, sharing an office with his father and brother. In 1985, he joined the Liberal Party of Andorra, later becoming its president.
As Prime Minister, he pursued liberal economic policies, maintaining low taxes and limiting government intervention. He emphasized modernization, tourism development, and financial sector reforms, strengthening Andorra’s global position.
Beyond politics, Forné was active in journalism, directing the weekly magazine Andorra 7 and contributing to discussions on governance and policy.
