William Lloyd George, 3rd Viscount Tenby (1927–2023,) a British peer and army officer, was the grandson of Prime Minister David Lloyd George. As one of the 90 hereditary peers retained in the House of Lords after the House of Lords Act 1999, he contributed to discussions on diverse issues.
After military service with the Royal Welch Fusiliers, Tenby studied history at St Catharine’s College-Cambridge. He later worked in advertising and public relations, including a stint at Kleinwort Benson. In 1983, he succeeded his brother as Viscount Tenby and served as a crossbencher in the House of Lords, addressing topics such as over-development and the right to die. Following the House of Lords Reform Act 2014, he retired in 2015, concluding a varied and impactful career.
