Scudder Parker (b.1943) is an American Democratic politician, environmentalist, and advocate for renewable energy and community-driven progress.

Born in Northeast Kingdom, Vermont, he graduated from Williams College in 1965 and earned his Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University. He served as an ordained Protestant minister in United Church of Christ churches in East St. Johnsbury and Lower Waterford 1968–89.

Parker was a Vermont State Senator 1981–88, chairing the Finance Committee. He later led the Energy Efficiency Division (1990–2003,) chaired the Vermont Democratic Party (2001–04,) ran for governor in 2006, and worked in energy policy 2008–17. In retirement, he published his first book of poetry, Safe as Lightning (2020.)
