Sarah Doherty (1959–2023) was an American-Canadian amputee mountaineer and ski racer. She left an enduring legacy through her exceptional achievements and contributions.

Born in Taunton, Massachusetts, Doherty faced adversity at the age of 13 when a drunk driver took her right leg while she was riding her bicycle. Undeterred, just six months after this tragic incident, she embarked on the challenging journey of skiing on one leg, utilizing outrigger ski poles.
