Inspirational Quotes by Robert Kelley Weeks (American Poet)

Robert Kelley Weeks (1840–76) was an American poet and lawyer known for his lyrical and reflective poetry. Though trained in law, he pursued literature, exploring themes of nature, philosophy, and human experience.

Born in New York City, he graduated from Yale College (1862) and earned an LLB from Columbia Law School (1864.) Admitted to the New York Bar, he chose literature over legal practice, contributing poetry and essays to various periodicals.

Weeks published Poems (1866,) showcasing his early style; Episodes and Lyric Pieces (1870,) a collection of narrative and lyrical poetry; and Twenty Poems (1876.) His works were later anthologized in An American Anthology, 1787–1900 (1900,) edited by Edmund Clarence Stedman.
