Inspirational Quotes by Richard L. Evans (American Religious Leader)

Richard Louis Evans (1906–71) was an American religious leader, writer, and broadcaster best known for his role as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and as the longtime voice of the radio program Music and the Spoken Word.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Evans earned a degree in English from the University of Utah in 1928 and pursued graduate studies. In 1929, he joined Music and the Spoken Word, produced by the Tabernacle Choir, where his calm, resonant voice and insightful messages captivated audiences for over 40 years. He became known for his concise, uplifting commentary that emphasized faith, kindness, and moral strength.

In 1953, Evans was called as an Apostle, providing spiritual guidance and leadership until his death. His eloquence and dedication to fostering goodwill made him a beloved figure both inside and outside the LDS Church.

Century of ‘Mormonism’ in Great Britain (1937,) Richard L. Evans’ Quote Book (1971,) and Thoughts for One Hundred Days (1966) compile his motivational and spiritual reflections, inspiring readers to lead meaningful lives.
