Paulin Limayrac (1816–68) was a French journalist, editor, and literary critic known for his contributions to political journalism and literary analysis during the Second Empire.

Born in Caussade, France, he studied in Montauban and Paris, attending Collège Henri IV. Initially active in literary circles, he contributed to L’Essor before transitioning to mainstream journalism.

His career flourished as a literary editor, writing for La Revue des Deux Mondes, La Revue de Paris, and La Presse. He later became editor-in-chief of Le Constitutionnel (1861–68) and La Patrie (from 1858,) engaging in political debates and journalistic polemics.

His notable work, Coups de plume sincères: littérature et politique (1853,) examined French literature and political thought, reflecting his sharp editorial style. He favored concise, impactful writing, avoiding lengthy articles while maintaining brilliant prose and incisive commentary.
