Marilyn vos Savant (b.1946,) née Mach, is an American author, lecturer, and magazine columnist, famed for holding the title of the person with the highest recorded IQ according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, vos Savant’s exceptional intellect drew attention when her IQ score was measured at an astonishingly high level of 228 during her childhood. Vos Savant rose to international fame through her regular column in Parade magazine, titled Ask Marilyn, which she initiated in 1986.
