Lauren Hutton (b.1943,) originally Mary Laurence Hutton, is an American model and actress known for her groundbreaking career in fashion and film. She challenged beauty standards and was among the first supermodels with a multi-million-dollar cosmetics contract.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, she moved to Florida with her mother after her parents’ divorce. She attended the University of South Florida before transferring to Tulane University, earning a degree in art.
