Hahn’s philosophy emphasized physical fitness, adventure-based learning, self-reliance, and compassion. His ideas shaped leadership training, outdoor education, and youth development worldwide.

Notable works include Education and Peace: The Foundation of Modern Society (1936,) exploring education’s role in global stability, and Outward Bound: Address at a Meeting of the Outward Bound Trust (1958,) detailing experiential learning philosophy.
