Inspirational Quotes by Ken Robinson (British Educator)

Sir Kenneth Robinson (1950–2020) was a British author, speaker, and international advisor on education, creativity, and innovation. A leading advocate for arts education and reform, he emphasized fostering creativity in schools.

Born in Liverpool, England, Robinson contracted polio at four, shaping his early educational experiences. He studied English and drama at Bretton Hall College of Education, earning a PhD in drama education from the University of London (1981.) He later served as Professor of Arts Education at the University of Warwick (1989–2001) and was knighted in 2003 for contributions to the arts.

His influential books include Out of Our Minds: Learning to Be Creative (2001,) The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything (2009,) Finding Your Element (2013,) Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution That’s Transforming Education (2015,) and Imagine If…: Creating a Future for Us All (2020,) exploring creativity, education, and personal fulfillment.

His TED Talk, Do Schools Kill Creativity? (2006,) remains one of the most-watched TED Talks, emphasizing the need to nurture creativity in education.
