Jon C. Madonna (1942–2018) was an American business executive known for his leadership in accounting, finance, and corporate governance. He helped shape KPMG, one of the world’s largest professional services firms, and held key roles in major corporations.
Madonna earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of San Francisco. He joined KPMG, spending 28 years there, rising to Chairman and CEO (1990–96.) Under his leadership, KPMG expanded globally and strengthened its consulting services.
After retiring from KPMG, Madonna was Vice Chairman of Travelers Group, Inc. (1997–98) and President & CEO of CWT Corporate Travel, Inc. (1999–2000.) He later served as CEO of DigitalThink, Inc. (2001–02) and Chairman (2002–04.) A sought-after board member, he served on the boards of AT&T Inc., Phelps Dodge Corporation, Tidewater Inc., and Visa U.S.A. Inc.
