Hugo Alexander Speer (b.1968) is an English actor and director, known for his roles in film and television dramas. His career spans over three decades, with notable performances in The Full Monty (1997,) The Musketeers (2014–16,) and London Kills (2019–present.)

Born in Harrogate, West Riding of Yorkshire, he studied acting at the Arts Educational Schools, London. He began his career with appearances in McCallum, The Bill, and Heartbeat, before gaining international recognition as Guy in The Full Monty.

His television roles include Clocking Off (2000–02,) The Rotters’ Club (2005,) and Father Brown (2013–14.) He played Captain Treville in The Musketeers, a BBC adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ novel, and Lucius in Britannia (2017–19.) His recent work includes Marcella (2018–20) and London Kills (2019–present.)

In 2010, Speer made his directorial début with the short film MAM, a family drama scripted by Vivienne Harvey. He has also narrated documentary series, including Cops with Cameras and 999: What’s Your Emergency?.
