Inspirational Quotes by Howard W. Hunter (American Mormon Religious Leader)

Howard William Hunter (1907–95) was an American religious leader, lawyer, and educator who served as the 14th President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1994–95,) the shortest tenure in its history.

Born in Boise, Idaho, Hunter had a passion for music and formed Hunter’s Croonaders, performing regionally and on an Asia-bound cruise. He later pursued law, earning a degree from Southwestern Law School (1939.)

Ordained as an apostle (1959,) he served in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for over three decades and became President of the Quorum (1988.) He succeeded Ezra Taft Benson as LDS Church President (1994,) emphasizing Christ-centered living, temple worship, and kindness. His publications include That We Might Have Joy (1994,) a collection of sermons.
