Jean Hazel Henderson (1933–2022,) née Mustard, was a British-American futurist and environmental activist. Henderson is known for her pioneering work in the field of sustainable development and her advocacy for a more equitable and sustainable global economy.
Born in Bristol, England, Henderson began her career as a television producer and commentator. She later became a prominent advocate for socially and environmentally responsible business practices.
Henderson was the founder of Ethical Markets Media, a company that promotes sustainable and ethical business practices. She authored several books on economics and environmentalism, including The Politics of the Solar Age (1988,) Building a Win-Win World (1995,) Creating Alternative Futures (1996,) and Ethical Markets: Growing the Green Economy (2006.)
Henderson also served on numerous boards and advisory panels, including the Worldwatch Institute and the Calvert Social Investment Fund.
