Inspirational Quotes by George S. Arundale (British Theosophist)

George Sydney Arundale (1878–1945) was an English Theosophist, educator, and writer known for his leadership in the Theosophical Society and contributions to spiritual philosophy. He was married to Rukmini Devi Arundale, a renowned Indian classical dancer and social reformer.

Born in Surrey, England, Arundale was adopted by his aunt, Francesca Arundale, a prominent Theosophist. He studied at St. John’s College-Cambridge, earning an M.A. in 1902 before moving to India, where he became Principal of the Central Hindu College (1909.) He worked closely with Annie Besant in Theosophical education.

Arundale served as the third President of the Theosophical Society Adyar (1934–45,) promoting spiritual unity and esoteric teachings. He was also a Freemason and a bishop in the Liberal Catholic Church, advocating interfaith dialogue.

His works include The Lotus Fire (1939) on Theosophical mysticism, You (1930,) a self-development guide, Nirvana (1937) on spiritual enlightenment, and The Way to Nirvana (1936) on Eastern philosophy.
