George Burr Leonard (1923–2010) was an American writer, editor, and educator instrumental in the Human Potential Movement and Integral Transformative Practice. His work emphasized personal growth, education reform, and mind-body integration.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Leonard served as a United States Army Air Corps pilot before shifting to journalism. As an editor at Look Magazine, he explored themes of human potential and social change. His interest in self-improvement led him to the Esalen Institute, where he served as President Emeritus and advanced humanistic psychology.

Leonard authored influential books, including The Decline of the American Male (1958,) Education and Ecstasy (1968,) The Silent Pulse (1978,) Ultimate Athlete (1975,) Mastery: The Keys to Success and Long-Term Fulfillment (1992,) and The Way of Aikido: Life Lessons from an American Sensei (2000.)

A fifth-degree Aikido black belt, Leonard co-founded the Aikido of Tamalpais dojo and developed Leonard Energy Training (LET,) integrating mind, body, and spirit.
