Inspirational Quotes by George Boardman the Younger (American Clergyman)

George Dana Boardman the Younger (1828–1903) was an American clergyman and theologian.

Born in Burma to missionary parents, he later settled in the U.S., where he pursued education at Worcester Academy, Brown University (1852,) and Newton Theological Institution (1855.) His pastoral career began in South Carolina but, due to his opposition to slavery, he moved north, leading congregations in Rochester (1856–64) and Philadelphia (1864–94.)

Boardman was a key figure in the Social Gospel movement and co-founded the Brotherhood of the Kingdom in 1892. His commitment to Christian ethics led him to establish the Boardman Foundation in Christian Ethics at the University of Pennsylvania (1899.) A staunch advocate for peace, he served as president of the Christian Arbitration and Peace Society and the American Baptist Missionary Union.

He authored several theological works, including Studies in the Creative Week (1878,) The Epiphanies of the Risen Lord (1879,) The Ten Commandments (1889,) and The Kingdom (1899.) His lectures, published as Titles of Wednesday Evening Lectures, offered profound biblical insights.
