Frank Owen Gehry (1929–2025,) née Goldberg, was a Canadian-American architect renowned for bold, sculptural designs that have reshaped modern architecture. His innovative use of deconstructivist forms and unconventional materials made him one of the most influential architects of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Gehry moved to Los Angeles in 1947, studying architecture at the University of Southern California before pursuing urban planning at Harvard University. He founded Frank O. Gehry & Associates in 1962, later evolving into Gehry Partners, LLP.
