Erwin Raphael McManus (b.1958,) born Irving Rafael Mesa-Cardona, is a Salvadoran-American author, pastor, and speaker known for his writings on faith, creativity, and personal transformation. He is the lead pastor of Mosaic, a Los Angeles megachurch, influencing modern Christian thought through his books and leadership.

Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, McManus immigrated to the U.S., growing up in Miami, Queens, and North Carolina. He studied psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later earned an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
