Douglas Lee Williams (b.1955) is an American football executive and former quarterback and coach. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1978–82,) Oklahoma/Arizona Outlaws (1984–85,) and Washington Redskins (1986–89.)

Born in Zachary, Louisiana, Williams attended Grambling State University, getting a bachelor’s degree in education. He played college football, led the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in several categories, and participated in the 1978 NFL Draft. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oklahoma/Arizona Outlaws, and Washington Redskins.

Williams is best known for his accomplishments in Super Bowl XXII, playing for the Washington Redskins against the Denver Broncos. He passed for 340 yards and four touchdowns during the second quarter, a single-quarter Super Bowl record. Thus, Williams became the first black quarterback to start and win a Super Bowl, and he was named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP.)

After his playing career, Williams coached the Grambling State Tigers and has served as a team executive for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Virginia Destroyers, and Washington Football Team.
