Donny Osmond (b.1957,) born Donald Clark Osmond, is an American singer, dancer, actor, and television host, best known as a 1970s teen idol with a lasting entertainment career.
Born in Ogden, Utah, he was the seventh of nine children in the musical Osmond family. He gained fame performing with his brothers as The Osmonds, achieving multiple gold albums and top-ten hits. His solo career took off in the early 1970s with Go Away Little Girl (1971) and Puppy Love (1972.)
Osmond and his sister Marie Osmond co-hosted Donny & Marie (1976–79,) further cementing his popularity. He later starred in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1992–97,) performing over 2,000 shows. His musical career continued with albums like This Is the Moment (2001) and Start Again (2021.)
Beyond music, Osmond won Dancing with the Stars (2009) and was runner-up on The Masked Singer (2019.) He has also hosted Pyramid (2002–04) and headlined a Las Vegas residency.
