Donald Curtis (1915–97,) born Curtis D. Rudolf, was an American actor, New Thought author, and lecturer on metaphysics. His works reflect his belief in the power of positive thinking and the influence of mindset on reality.
Born in Cheneyville, Louisiana, Curtis began his acting career in the 1940s, appearing in numerous films. His notable roles included Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound (1945,) Cecil B. DeMille’s The Ten Commandments (1956,) and the science fiction classic Earth vs. the Flying Saucers (1956.) He also appeared in various television series during the 1950s and 1960s.
Later, Curtis focused on New Thought principles and self-help, becoming an author and lecturer on personal growth and spiritual understanding. His publications include Your Thoughts Can Change Your Life (1961,) The Gems of Truth (1966,) and The Power of Your Supermind (1976.)
