Inspirational Quotes by David Seltzer (American Screenwriter)

David Seltzer (b.1940) is an American screenwriter, producer, and director known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for writing The Omen (1976,) a landmark horror film that became a genre classic.

Born in Highland Park, Illinois, Seltzer began his Hollywood career as a screenwriter, contributing uncredited work to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971.) He later wrote Prophecy (1979,) a horror-thriller with environmental themes, and Six Weeks (1982,) a drama starring Dudley Moore and Mary Tyler Moore. His directorial début was Lucas (1986,) a teen drama featuring Corey Haim and Winona Ryder.

Seltzer continued writing and directing, including Punchline (1988,) a comedy-drama starring Tom Hanks and Sally Field, and Shining Through (1992,) a World War II espionage film. His later works include My Giant (1998) and Dragonfly (2002.) He also authored The Omen (1976) as a novel adaptation of his screenplay.
