Inspirational Quotes by David Fasold (American Archeologist)

David Franklin Fasold (1939–98) was an American marine salvage expert and researcher known for his work on Noah’s Ark theories. His investigations into the Durupınar site in Turkey sparked debate among archaeologists and biblical scholars.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Fasold joined the United States Merchant Marine, traveling extensively before establishing himself in marine salvage. His interest in biblical archaeology led him to explore the Durupınar formation, a boat-shaped site believed by some to be Noah’s Ark remains.

His most notable work, The Ark of Noah (1988,) detailed his expeditions and findings, arguing the site contained iron remnants consistent with an ancient vessel. Initially convinced of its authenticity, he later expressed skepticism, revising his stance on its origins.

Fasold was involved in a legal dispute with Australian geologist Ian Plimer, known as the “Monkey Trial II,” which challenged creationist claims about the site. His research contributed to broader discussions on archaeology, faith, and scientific inquiry.
