Inspirational Quotes by Carly Patterson (American Sportsperson)

Carly Rae Patterson (b.1988) is an American singer, songwriter, and former artistic gymnast best known for winning all-around gold at the 2004 Olympics in Athens—the first American woman to do so in a non-boycotted Games.

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she began gymnastics at six, quickly excelling. She won all-around silver at the 2003 World Championships and helped secure the U.S. team’s first gold at the event. At the 2004 Olympics, she claimed all-around gold and silver in team and balance beam events. Her signature beam dismount, the Arabian double front, was named “The Patterson.”

After back injuries, Patterson transitioned to music, releasing Back to the Beginning (2009,) featuring Temporary Life and Lost in Me. She also authored the children’s book Mooses Come Walking (2004.)
