Brain Tracy (b.1944) is a Canadian-American motivational public speaker, leadership coach, and self-development author.

Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Tracy quit high school and worked on a ship for eight years. He joined a Canadian real-estate company and became its star salesperson. He launched a “Phoenix Seminar” in 1981 to help others succeed; it quickly evolved into his famous Psychology of Selling (1988) course.

Tracy is the author of over 70 self-help books that have been translated widely. His popular books include How to Master Your Time (1995,) The Psychology of Achievement (2002,) Eat That Frog! (2011,) Earn What You’re Really Worth (2012,) and Million Dollar Habits: Proven Power Practices to Double and Triple Your Income (2017.)

Tracy was an unsuccessful independent candidate in the 2003 California gubernatorial recall election.
