Bill Maher (b.1956,) full name William Maher, is an American comedian, television host, and political commentator known for his sharp wit, outspoken views, and controversial humor. Renowned for his satirical and polarizing commentary, he has gained a significant following while facing criticism for his bold stances.

Born in New York City, Maher grew up in a politically active family, which influenced his career as a satirist and critic of politics and society.
