Benjamin Franklin King Jr. (1857–94) was an American humorist and poet known for his witty, satirical verse. His works, published under Ben King and Bow Hackley, gained popularity during his lifetime and remain celebrated posthumously.
Born in St. Joseph, Michigan, King was a piano prodigy. Despite lacking business instincts, he became a beloved poet and humorist, captivating audiences with his lighthearted, insightful verse.
